PARENTING TALK on SCHOOL: Is your child ready?
If you are a parent of a child who will be in Primary 1 next year, you may start to feel worried by now. Primary school is so different from Pre-School in terms of the number of students, so it can be quite a daunting experience for the first-timer (both child and parents). Concerns on your child’s social readiness, reading ability and safety are among the worries that many parents have before the start of the new school term.

Parenting expert and columnist for the ChildWise Parenting column in The Star newspaper.Author of the book "Parenting Toddlers"
Ruth Liew will share with parents how they can prepare their children for the new social environment in school. Issues like bullying, theft and so on will be discussed as well. Ruth will also share tips on safety skills for children.
A member of the committee for CITIZENS FOR NURIN ALERT are also invited to share on what NURIN ALERT is all about and how parents can participate and help keep our children safe.
