About the speakers:
Dayang Lily Abang Muas & Hani Arziana left their career as Systems Engineers to start a on-line bookshop specialising in Islamic children’s books in 2001, via their website, www.UmmikuSayang.com. UmmikuSayang grew not only as an on-line bookstore, but also as an on-line community of Muslim mothers which now has over 3000 on-line members. Their career as home-based entrepreneurs received numerous media coverage such as on TV3 Nona, Dutch Lady 1-2-3, TV1’s Femme, TV9 Busana as well as in magazines and newspapers. Dayang Lily was selected as the “Best Teleworking Mom” in 2004 in a contest organized by eHomemakers.net and Nestle Berhad and had received invitation to share about their business in various seminars and forums.
UmmikuSayang expanded their business in 2006 by opening their Activities & Books Centre (now known as Books & Boutique) in Taipan USJ. Hani and Lily are passionate in helping other mothers explore and take-up the opportunity to work from home and enjoy the benefits that they have experienced.
